Garden Planning - Urban Farm & Garden Series

  • E.A.T South 485 Molton Street Montgomery, AL, 36104 (map)

Farm your yard (or driveway or patio) with E.A.T. South’s series of four workshops to get you growing in the city. The workshops are Thursday evenings, 5-6:50 in the basement classroom of Goodwyn Community Center. All programs are free, but registration is required.

Get your free ticket here.

Each week, we’ll cover a different topic to help you start and grow your best garden ever. Along with inspiration and a lot of practical gardening advice, you’ll leave the classes with information and resources that will support your garden for years to come. Come for the whole series and share your garden journey with the class.

Garden Planning will help you figure out where, what, and when to plant. We’ll cover which vegetables grow in which seasons, and where to look to figure that out. We'll also discuss soils, soil tests, and why a soil test may be the best $10 you can spend on your garden. Bring your soil test results back on April 11 and share them with the group.

This workshop series organized for adults and older youth interested in gardening, but kids are always welcome at all E.A.T. South activities.
