Garden Preparation - Urban Farm & Garden Series

  • Goodwyn Community Center 205 Perry Hill Rd Montgomery United States (map)

Farm your yard (or driveway or patio) with E.A.T. South’s series of four workshops to get you growing in the city. The workshops are Thursday evenings, 5-6:50 in the basement classroom of Goodwyn Community Center. All programs are free, but registration is required.

Get your free ticket here.

Each week, we’ll cover a different topic to help you start and grow your best garden ever. Along with inspiration and a lot of practical gardening advice, you’ll leave the classes with information and resources that will support your garden for years to come. Come for the whole series and share your garden journey with the class.

Garden Preparation covers building your garden and planting it. From raised beds, to in ground, to pots on the patio, we’ll talk about different ways to grow, why compost is magic, where to find soil and amendments, and how to plant seeds & transplants. Bring those soil test results from last week to share! We’ll probably have tomato plants for everyone to take home, too.
This is the second workshop in April's Urban Farm & Gardening Series. Sign up for one class or join us for the whole series. You'll meet other gardeners and learn where to find resources to keep you gardening for years to come.

The workshops are free. Donations are welcome.
